Traci
Veterinary Technician/Hospital Administrator
Traci was born in Illinois and moved to Arizona when she was 4. She has always had a love of animals and a passion to help improve their lives. Traci attended Pima Medical Institute and received her certification in 2009. She started working at Topaz in 2010. Traci left Topaz in 2019 and worked at a veterinary diagnostic lab prior to returning to Topaz in 2020. Traci currently has a feisty Siamese cat named Ember. In her free time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and traveling.

Genesis
Veterinary Technician
Genesis was born and raised in Arizona. She graduated from ASU in 2015 with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences. Genesis has always loved helping people and animals, and she really enjoys being able to do both in the veterinary field. She has been with Topaz since 2014. Genesis owns two very cute Bichons named Summer and Bentley. She also has a turtle named Hubert. She loves all things Disney, especially going to Disneyland.

Katie
Veterinary Technician
Katie was born and raised in Tempe AZ. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2015 and has been with Topaz since 2016. Before being a veterinary technician she was a preschool teacher, but she always knew that she ultimately wanted to work with animals. Katie has a Chihuahua named Sophie and a mischievous cat named Veto Danger. In her free time she enjoys baking, dancing, watching reality TV and sports, as well as hiking and fishing.

Charlene
Lead Veterinary Technician
Charlene was born in California and moved to Arizona when she was 7. She has always had a passion for animals and had a variety of different creatures growing up. Charlene graduated from Anthem College in 2014 with an Associate's of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. Charlene has been with Topaz since July 2018. Charlene currently has 3 Labs: Yukina, Raven and Omelet, as well as a German Shepherd Mix named Athena. In her free time she enjoys hiking, fishing, video games, and anime with her husband. She dock dives all 3 of her Labs and is a member of Arizona Dock Dogs Club.

Celeste
Certified Veterinary Technician
Celeste was born and raised in Arizona and has been around animals her entire life. Animals bring her incredible joy and she is the proud owner of 3 cats, 1 dog and a snake. She graduated from the veterinary technician program with her Associate’s Degree at Pima Medical Institute and has since gone on to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Her goal is to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in zoology from Grand Canyon University, and she would eventually love to work with wild animals at a zoo or sanctuary in Oregon.

Leslie
Veterinary Technician
Leslie was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2017 as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Since being in the veterinary field she has developed a passion for dentistry and senior pet care. She has two Chihuahuas, one Pitbull, and one cat at home. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, watching Disney movies, and traveling.

Grant
Veterinary Technician
Grant is originally from Colorado and has been in the veterinary field since 2018. Grant has been with Topaz since 2019. He has 3 dogs, as well as various reptiles and amphibians. In his free time, Grant enjoys hiking, going to concerts, reading, writing, and community activism.

Madison
Veterinary Assistant
Madison was born in West Virginia and moved to Arizona at age 7. Since childhood, she has been interested in pursuing a career as a veterinarian. She graduated with distinction from Arizona State University in 2023 with her B.S in Biomedical Sciences and a certificate in Evolutionary Medicine. After graduation, she studied abroad volunteering in Guatemala, where she and the members of her school club worked with Guatemalan veterinarians to provide low-to-no cost spay and neuter procedures to combat the animal overpopulation endemic to the country. Madison has been with Topaz since August 2022. Alongside working at Topaz, she currently volunteers at a ranch that specializes in equine assisted learning and therapy for children and adults alike. In her free time, she loves to create art, practice her violin, play video games, and spend time with her friends and family. She has two black cats at home, one dog, and a ball python. She has been accepted into veterinary school and is very excited to continue her career in veterinary medicine.

Makenna
Lead Receptionist
Makenna was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived in Michigan for 7.5 years before moving to Arizona to attend ASU. She graduated from ASU in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing and joined the veterinary field shortly thereafter. Makenna has been with Topaz since October of 2023. She has always had a love and passion for animals and dreams of fostering litters of kittens for rescue groups someday. She currently has a Pitbull named Luna and four kitties - Porter, Cash, Cruze, and Fava Bean.

Sean
Veterinary Assistant
Sean was born and raised in Chander, Arizona. He just started in the veterinary field at Topaz in October 2023, and is currently deciding on continuing his education. Since being in the veterinary field, he has developed an interest in the medical side of pet ownership. He shares one cat and a bearded dragon and recently adopted another kitten. In his free time, he enjoys working on his car.
